S. Aryana Yousefzadeh

I received a B.Sc. in cell and molecular biology and a M.Sc. in biochemistry at the University of Tehran, Iran. Prior to joining the Tadross lab, I studied the role of microtubule dynamics in learning and memory mechanisms. I’ve also worked on understanding the neuronal correlates of temporal processing and time perception. 

 

Here at the Tadross lab, I’m interested in disentangling the cholinergic and dopaminergic basis of opioid use disorder using opioid DARTs. I believe that DART’s ability to preserve the natural timing of neuronal responses and its cell- and receptor-type specificity, makes it an amazing tool for advancing our understanding of the brain. 

 

Outside of the lab, I enjoy doing yoga and playing classical guitar.
